Tabay's Mindful Kitchen Truck Kahului

It all started when Sahel, a single mom and cancer survivor, found herself in need of deep healing after an intense and life-altering battle with cancer. Her son, Tabay Atkins, stepped in as her rock. At just seven years old, Tabay began practicing yoga alongside his mom, joining her in her recovery journey. By age 10, he became the youngest certified yoga teacher in the world. His mission? To give back and help others heal the way he saw yoga help heal his mom. He started teaching yoga classes, donating every penny to cancer patients.

Fast forward to today, Tabay and Sahel are still making magic together—this time through food. Their vegan comfort food truck in Kahului is not just about delicious meals; it’s an extension of their philosophy of mindful, intentional living.

A Food Truck Unlike Any Other
The menu at Tabay’s Mindful Kitchen is as impressive as their story, boasting over 70 items made with care and attention to detail without compromising the quality. Specializing in recreating vegan versions of fast food favorites and comfort food classics, Tabay’s menu features American food, Mexican food, Persian dishes, “Seafood”, and more! From homemade sauces to the freshest ingredients and never-soggy buns, every bite is crafted with love. Persian influences shine through the menu, offering authentic flavors you won’t find anywhere else on Maui. In fact, it’s the only spot on the island where you can enjoy vegan versions of Persian dishes.

But the food isn’t just about satisfying your taste buds. Tabay and Sahel have made giving back a cornerstone of their business. Beyond the unparalleled hospitality you get the moment you approach the window of their friendly orange truck, Tabay and Sahel continue to donate part of the proceeds to cancer patients and animal sanctuaries, carrying on the spirit of generosity that Tabay has fostered from the start.

Sahel puts it best: “We are truly here to serve.”
