Unwind and Rejuvenate: A Day at Wailea Healing Center

Wailea Healing Center is a true wellness haven situated just behind the luxurious Wailea hotels with sweeping ocean views and a welcoming warmth like none other. As soon as you walk through the door, there is a wall of community events to be hosted in the main room and a glow about the space that makes you feel like you’ve just come home.

Rebecca Wilson, a seasoned massage therapist trained at the Academy of the Healing Arts on Maui, founded this hidden gem in 2017 and built a team of highly skilled practitioners to drive her vision. Dedicated to complete body, mind, and spirit rejuvenation, Wailea Healing Center is a place you can pop into for a transformative workshop or an indulgent spa treatment in one luscious day. Their diverse range of healing services includes massage therapy, acupuncture, yoga, life coaching and more. Despite its prime location and top-tier services, the center offers treatments at about a third less of the price of nearby luxury spas. It’s a perfect retreat for both locals and tourists, providing an accessible oasis of tranquility and healing for everyone seeking just that.

We were set up in their outdoor cabana - a must - by massage therapists, LaRue and Jessa. The wind blew sweet, balmy air through the soft fabric that encapsulated us within. The birds chirped, the geckos clicked. The deep, sweeping motions and tender touches of the therapists were so intentional, it was felt before the massage even began and down to the very last stroke. We left with eyes glazed and silly smiles. As someone who studied Lomi Lomi and managed the Fairmont Spa in Santa Monica once upon a time, I can tell you: this was a five star massage.

The love and care in everything at Wailea Healing Center is palpable in everything from the motto “Follow the Love,” to the warm, the friendly voice of David, who coordinates the magic that happens here, and the hands of every healer within. For me, and many other locals, it has become a trusted place of refuge and a powerful place of healing.
